Lianbo Ma received the B.Sc. degree in Communication Engineering and the M.Sc. degree in Communication and Information System from Northeast University, Shenyang, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering from Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, in 2014. He has been an Assistant Professor in Northeastern University. His current research interests are in the area of biologically inspired computation and the application of these techniques for the problems in the areas of Engineering, Economics and Life Sciences. He has published more than 40 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He has won five research grants, including the National High-tech Research and Development Program of China (National 863 Program), National Natural Science Foundation of China, Liaoning Province Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Open Fund of Key Laboratory of Networked Control System CAS, He received the Chinese Academy of Sciences Awards of Excellence (2015), Liaoning Province Natural Science Academic Achievement Award (2015), Innovation 2020 Title Award, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy Sciences, and Northeastern University Youth Corps Committee Outstanding Cadres (2006).
